Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Milwaukee - West Allis is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care for critically ill patients during 12-hour night shifts. The role supports post-ICU recovery, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance in a high-acuity setting.

Ideal candidates have a CNA certification or hospital CNA experience, plus a high school diploma or GED. BLS certification should be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years relevant experience.
• Hospital experience as CNA or CNA certification.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less products and assisting with oral hygiene.
• Assist with oral feeding and hair care as part of daily care.
• Participate in hourly rounds and transport patients as needed.
• Help move patients on and off stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, chairs and rooms.
• Keep unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
