Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital seeks a Clinical Pharmacist / Pharmacy Clinical Specialist focused on Critical Care to serve as a core pharmacy resource for inpatient ICU services and to support internal medicine and centralized operations.

The role blends decentralized ICU practice with centralized activities, about 50% ICU time and 50% internal medicine, with opportunities to teach residents and contribute to research and quality improvement, while participating in rounds and rapid response

Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist or eligible for reciprocity within 90 days of hire.
• PGY2 residency or fellowship preferred; or PGY1 with 2 years of relevant specialty experience, or 4+ years in the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders and provide real-time pharmacotherapy recommendations.
• Support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives and participate in rounding with ICU teams.
• Precept pharmacy residents and students, and lead educational activities.
• Respond to code activations and other emergent clinical situations.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care and medication therapy.
