Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, FL is seeking a Pharmacist to educate patients and healthcare teams on safe medication use, and to participate in transitions of care from admission through discharge.

You will supervise pharmacy technicians, engage in quality improvement, and contribute to departmental practice advancement across central, satellite, and IV areas. A Doctorate is preferred; licensure required in Florida; weekend rotation included.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license (RPH) required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• 1+ hospital experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred.
• PharmD field of study.

Responsibilities

• Educate and counsel patients on safe medication use.
• Perform compounding, dispensing, verification and documentation of medications.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, students, and residents.
• Participate in quality improvement, regulatory compliance and accreditation activities.
