Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• ABA Board eligible/certified in Anesthesiology and/or certified/eligible for Critical Care Certification.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia.
• Eligible for employment in the United States.
• Good communication, clinical and teaching skills.
• Commitment to professionalism and civility across diverse faculty, staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside clinical teaching of residents, medical students and others; participate in didactic programs.
• Pursue clinical or laboratory research and participate in clinical trials if interested.
• Serve on departmental or university committees and promote civility and service.
• Provide clinical anesthesiology care in main ORs and ambulatory areas; supervise CRNAs as needed.
