Job summary

VCU Health in Richmond, VA is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive perioperative care, including preanesthetic evaluation, intraoperative management, postoperative rounds, and critical care duties within the Department of Anesthesiology.

You will participate in resident education, clinical research, and service on departmental committees, with opportunities for career development and advanced practice supervision in a university-affiliated health

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• ABA board eligible/certified in anesthesiology.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative anesthesiology care in main OR and ambulatory areas.
• Supervise and direct CRNA staff as assigned.
• Conduct preanesthetic evaluations and postoperative rounds.
• Engage in teaching, clinical research, and quality improvement activities.
