UNC Health Wayne is seeking a full‑time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Inpatient Critical Care department in Goldsboro, NC. This position provides an excellent opportunity to practice at the top of your license, help design and establish your workflow, and welcomes enthusiastic and hard‑working new graduates willing to learn from ICU attendings with decades of experience. Responsibilities

• Manage critical care patients alongside ICU and hospitalist colleagues, establishing optimal workflows that match your skill level and patient needs.
• Respond to acute medical events such as rapid responses and codes.
• Perform ICU admissions and critical care consults.
• Collaborate closely with ICU and hospitalist teammates.

Requirements

Education Requirements

• Completion of an accredited graduate‑level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the Department. DEA registration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

• Demonstrated clinical competency.
• Effective leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
• Effective interaction to ensure successful patient care in the clinical setting.
• Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
