Job summary

The Broad Institute's DepMap program seeks an experienced scientist to lead the day‑to‑day operation of our internal CRISPR screening platform. This is a production‑focused role, running large‑scale screens as a reliable, high‑throughput pipeline and coordinating with experimental scientists, PMs, and data analysts.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with CRISPR screens at scale in a core facility, and can manage staffing, SOPs, timelines, and quality control.

Qualifications

• The candidate has a Ph.D. or equivalent with a track record in CRISPR or high‑throughput screening.
• Hands-on experience running production-scale CRISPR screens in a core facility or screening center.
• Experience managing lab personnel and coordinating multi‑team projects.
• Proficiency with LIMS, ELNs, and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of large-scale CRISPR screens as a production pipeline.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for experimental execution, data acquisition, and QC.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across screens.
• Supervise and mentor 2+ research associates; coordinate with scientists and analysts.
• Maintain accurate records in LIMS and deliver data ready for downstream analysis.
• Improve pipeline efficiency, reproducibility, and scalability as volume grows.
