Job Summary

Center for Community Resources (CCR) – Schuylkill County, PA is seeking a compassionate mental health professional for a Crisis Intervention Specialist – Evening Shift (3pm‑11pm or 2pm‑10pm). The role focuses on telephone, walk‑in, and mobile assessment, crisis counseling, conflict resolution, and referrals to community resources.

Compensation and Schedule
  • Hourly rate: $24.04 (potentially higher based on experience).
  • Shift differential: $0.75 for evenings, $1.50 for overnight.
  • Travel: up to 50%.
  • Flexible to work weekends.
Location

CCR Schuylkill – Pottsville, PA 17901.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis counseling and assessment via phone and in‑person.
  • Conduct walk‑in and mobile visits and link clients to mental health, drug, and alcohol services.
  • Employ de‑escalation techniques while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Document and report client interactions accurately.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team and coordinate referrals.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field with coursework in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, nursing, counseling, education, or theology.
  • One year of experience in a mental health or crisis services setting.
  • Valid driver’s license with proof of auto insurance.
  • Act 33/34 and FBI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered nurse credential.
  • Associates degree with 12 semester credit hours in relevant social science fields.
  • At least two years of direct mental‑health experience.
  • Knowledge of PA resources and the 302/201 process.
  • Computer literacy.
Licenses & Clearances
  • Act33/34 and FBI clearances.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proof of car insurance coverage.
Special Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of de‑escalation techniques.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, flexibility in scheduling, take initiative while being cooperative and empathetic, and maintain strict confidentiality.
