Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a crisis clinician to join our urgent care/MCI team. You will provide rapid crisis evaluations, brief stabilization, and linkages to community resources in person or via telehealth across the region.

This per diem role offers CPI training, ongoing professional development, and a chance to make a meaningful difference for youth, adults, and geriatric clients.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field.
• License preferred (LICSW, LMHC).
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle for community settings.
• Familiarity with CANS assessment helpful.
• Computer literate in Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency crisis evaluations and related service delivery for diverse populations in multiple settings, including on-site or telehealth.
• Manages the acute phase of clients presenting in behavioral health crisis.
• Provides timely assessment, triage, and referrals to support behavioral health needs.
• Conducts intakes and brief stabilization interventions for urgent needs.
• Completes accurate documentation within required time frames.
• Develops and maintains relationships with community partners.
• Utilizes supervision effectively to manage high-risk cases.
• Meets performance specifications and productivity standards.
• Maintains a professional demeanor at all times.
