Coleman Health Services, a nationally recognized nonprofit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs, seeks a Crisis Technician for the Crisis Stabilization Unit in Lima, Ohio. You will support people experiencing mental health issues through direct care, coordination, and a safe therapeutic environment.

Available shifts include full-time on first, second, and third shifts, with some weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work some weekends.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or five years of mental health experience preferred.
• Experience in crisis intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate client admission, stay, and discharge, with follow-up with clients, support systems, treatment teams and providers.
• Provide direct client care, support, education, and interventions to promote independence and treatment goals.
• Monitor client needs, progress, behaviors, and document care; report concerns or incidents.
• Help clients develop skills, build independence, and participate in treatment planning.
• Monitor medications and report concerns or side effects to nursing staff.
• Assist with meal planning and maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
• Participate in treatment teams, meetings, supervision, safety drills and new staff orientation.

Job Duties

• Coordinate client admission, stay, and discharge, including follow up with clients, support systems, treatment teams, and community providers.
• Provide direct client care, support, education, and interventions that promote independence and treatment goals.
