Job summary

Job description

Pillars Community Health is expanding our Mobile Crisis Response team and hiring several new Supervisors as our program continues to grow.

SUMMARY

Provides collaborative and shared leadership for operational oversight of crisis services, including Mobile Crisis Response (MCR), After Hours, and 590/988 programs. Responsible for day-to-day supervision of assigned staff, ensuring timely, trauma-informed, and effective crisis intervention. In collaboration with the Crisis Leadership team, oversees onboarding, scheduling, training, documentation quality, and compliance with program and regulatory standards.

Collaborates with the Director of Crisis Services, the Vice President of Open Access, and other PCH leaders to ensure integrated, accessible, and high-quality crisis services across all programs. Participates in the 24/7 on-call consultation rotation which will rotate on site coverage across sites and supports program improvement through team development, collaboration, and data-informed practice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Cultivates a positive, collaborative, and trauma-informed team culture that supports staff well-being, professional growth, and effective crisis response.
  • Provides direct clinical and administrative supervision to assigned crisis staff, including hiring, training, planning, assigning, and monitoring work; evaluating performance; providing coaching and development; addressing concerns and resolving problems; and ensuring high standards of documentation and service delivery.
  • Coordinates staff scheduling, coverage, and daily operations to ensure continuous and effective 24/7 service delivery.
  • Works with Crisis Leadership to lead onboarding and ongoing training for new and current crisis staff, ensuring consistency with CareLogic documentation, crisis protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Tracks staff performance and documentation to ensure quality, timeliness, and compliance with agency, funder, and accreditation standards.
  • Provides direct clinical consultation and crisis intervention support, both in-person and via phone, as part of a rotating 24/7/365 consultation schedule with the Crisis Leadership team.
  • Collaborates closely with Crisis Leadership to ensure seamless operations, provide backup coverage, and function as a cohesive leadership team.
  • Works in partnership with the Director of Crisis Services and Vice President of Open Access to align program operations with organizational priorities, performance goals, and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintains partnerships with hospitals, law enforcement, schools, and community agencies to ensure coordinated crisis response and effective follow-up.
  • Participates in data collection, quality assurance activities, and program reporting to support continuous quality improvement and compliance with grant deliverables.
  • Ensures staff adherence to crisis service protocols, documentation standards, billing practices, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of policies, procedures, and workflow improvements for crisis programs.
  • Participates in weekly team meetings, administrative workgroups, and agency initiatives such as CCBHC and community presentations.
  • Participates in the shared 24/7 consultation rotation, providing supervision and clinical support to staff after hours as needed.
  • Participates in a shared on-site coverage rotation that includes both daytime and evening coverage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

Licensure LCPC, LCSW, LMFT and/or related licensure is required. Licensure eligibility will be considered if licensure can be obtained within 3-6 months of starting in the position.

Crisis or Mobile Crisis Response (SASS) required and 590 experience strongly preferred. Experience in supervisory leadership is strongly preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) helpful; are not required for application in the position.

OTHER

Must maintain a safe driving record and have current valid Illinois Driver’s License. Transportation is needed for travel to/from home, office, and community-based interventions. Mileage for authorized work-related purposes is reimbursable.

SCHEDULE

The Supervisor is responsible for providing collaborative leadership of a 24/7/365 behavioral health crisis response program, which includes requirements for in-person responses to crisis calls.

The position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and works at least three (3) days on-site each week. Must be flexible with work hours and regular schedule. Schedule will vary based on the needs of the program, to include working evenings on-site to provide support and training for staff. Crisis Supervisors also rotate between our 2 Berwyn locations located at 6415 Stanley Avenue and 6918 Windsor Avenue in Berwyn.

PAY & BENEFIT INFORMATION

Salary range: $62,000-$75,000 *
