Stars Behavioral Health Group in Irvine, CA is hiring a Crisis Stabilization RN for the PM shift. The RN will oversee nursing duties and supervise the nursing staff on shift, ensuring high-quality client care in a 24/7 CSU environment.

You will document care in EMR, collaborate with internal and external teams, and help maintain a safe milieu while supporting patients through crisis stabilization and referrals as needed.

Competenze

• RN license required in California.
• CPR certification is required.
• First Aid certification from an approved provider.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

The Registered Nurse is also responsible for the supervision of the nursing department staff assigned to their respective shift. This position may be responsible for managing the overall milieu in the facility and general operations to facilitate quality client care, optimum facility operations and preserve the safety of those therein which may include the shift oversight of staff designated to other departments (i.e. Safety Specialists, QA staff, Clerks, Clinical staff, etc.) as well as the nursing department. This position is responsible for accurately documenting client care in the Electronic Medical Records; collaborating with internal and external departments and agencies to facilitate optimal client care and facility operations. Licensed staff (that meet qualifications) may be asked to become LPS designee certified to facilitate the completion of “applications 5150/5585” for clients in need of such.Division/Program Overview:Program:The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a place where people experiencing a mental health crisis can go to be stabilized. These facilities operate 24/7 to provide crisis stabilization.Population Served: Up to 16 adults (ages 18 and up) and 8 adolescents (ages 13 to 17).Facility & Setting: Can be compared to an Urgent Care Center where people often go for a medical emergency instead of going to the hospital ER. Patients may stay up to 23 hours.Clinical Services: Provides important services to those in need of immediate crisis intervention and stabilization. Designed to prevent psychiatric hospitalizations.Length of Stay: stay of up to 23 hoursSkills & Transition: The CSU will help clients to stabilize and will also provide referrals to other needed services.
