Job summary

DuPage County Health Department is seeking a Crisis Services Technician for the new Crisis Recovery Center in Wheaton, IL. The role supports 24/7 crisis services, focusing on client safety and therapeutic care in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a 4-day work week (Fri-Sun or Sun-Mon) with shift differential on the second shift, and comprehensive benefits including holidays, vacation, sick time, and tuition reimbursement. A valid IL driver's license and age 21+ are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid State of Illinois driver’s license and have a good driving record.
• New employees attend paid on-site orientation at the Central Public Health Center in Wheaton.
• Must be 21 years of age; experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment in Crisis Residential and Crisis Recovery Center programs.
• Support client safety and quality care through rounds, belongings checks, and observations.
• Assist with medication observation and monitoring in crisis programming.
• Help maintain environmental standards and manage supplies and inventories.
• May assist with transporting clients in county vehicles.
