Job summary

DuPage County Health Department is seeking a Crisis Services Technician to join the new DuPage Crisis Recovery Center in Wheaton. You will provide front-line support for individuals in psychiatric crisis and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

The role includes safeguarding client safety, observing medications, managing environmental standards, transporting clients when needed, and participating in on-site orientation.

Qualifications

• Valid State of Illinois Driver's license.
• Ability to stand, walk, push/pull cleaning equipment, reach, climb ladders, crouch, and lift up to 10 pounds.
• Must be 21 years old; experience preferred but not required.
• On-site orientation at Central Public Health Center in Wheaton for one week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for clients in Crisis Residential and Crisis Recovery Center programs.
• Facilitate client safety and quality care through client rounding and belongings checks.
• Assist with client medication observation in Crisis programming.
• Perform tasks to maintain environmental standards in crisis programming.
• Complete grocery shopping and supply inventories.
• May transport clients in a county vehicle.
