Mental Health Resource Center is seeking a Mental Health Professional to work with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office as a Co-Responder. You will provide crisis de-escalation, assessment, and linkage to services to ensure appropriate disposition and access to community-based care.

The role emphasizes collaboration with law enforcement, crisis planning, and coordination with community providers to improve safety and reduce hospitalizations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, or related field; two years of crisis response experience required.
• Florida Registered Intern preferred; licenses such as LMHC/LCSW/LMFT preferred.
• Proficiency with MHRC EHR and Patient Information System within three months of employment.

Responsabilités

• Provide crisis de-escalation, intervention, assessment, and linkage to services during crises.
• Assist law enforcement in contact with individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders.
• Develop safety and crisis plans in collaboration with individuals and agencies.
• Coordinate with mental health, substance abuse, and medical providers to ensure stabilization and access to services.
• Conduct follow-up visits with high-risk individuals and reduce unnecessary hospitalizations.
