Job summary

Elevate Housing Foundation is seeking a Law Enforcement Liaison to collaborate with local law enforcement as a crisis responder within the Elevate Housing Foundation system. You will access supports, coordinate resources, and de-escalate crisis situations while ensuring timely follow-up.

The role requires a health/psychology background, 2 years in behavioral health, and valid Iowa credentials. Training in MHFA, CIT, CPI, CPR is valued. Duties extend to documentation and interagency coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health and human services or psychology from an accredited college preferred.
• Certification in Mental Health First Aid, Critical Incident Training (CIT), First Aid, CPR, CPI is valued.
• HIPAA knowledge and Electronic Health Record Management are required/valued.
• 2 years’ experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs; forensic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in accessing supports, services, and resources for behavioral health recovery.
• Respond to 911 calls for assistance with support of Law Enforcement
• Respond to Mobile Crisis Services when available and complete documentation.
• Provide information and referrals; crisis services, de-escalation, and follow-up within regulated timelines.
• Promote integration of behavioral health care and long-term supports to ensure continuity of care.
