Job summary

State of Georgia seeks a Counselor for the Crisis Response Team in Newnan to provide psychosocial support, conduct BHAs, and develop collaborative treatment plans for individuals in mental health crises. You will work with EMS and Care Campus teams to stabilize patients and coordinate admissions.

Minimum qualifications include a GA license (LPC/LCSW/LMFT) or eligibility within six months and a Master’s degree in social work and counseling from an accredited program.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university.
• GA licensure as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT or eligibility within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial and therapeutic support to individuals in crisis.
• Conduct Behavioral Health Assessments (BHA) within required timeframes.
• Develop treatment plans with input from the treatment team.
• Offer crisis intervention and risk assessment in collaboration with EMS.
• Coordinate admission and communicate with referrals and care teams.
