Heluna Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to join a two-person Response Team addressing crisis-related calls for unhoused individuals in Los Angeles. This temporary, grant-funded, full-time role emphasizes trauma-informed engagement, de-escalation, and linkage to services and housing resources.

The position collaborates across homeless services, performs intake and assessment, and ensures HMIS data integrity while connecting clients to appropriate benefits and shelter options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of crisis intervention or outreach.
• Associate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Peer Support + CADAC + 4 years of experience in crisis intervention/outreach.

Responsabilités

• Lead as part of a two-person Response Team.
• Coordinate outreach with homeless service partners and programs.
• Provide de-escalation and stabilization interventions.
• Enroll unhoused individuals in HMIS and update records.
• Link clients to permanent housing opportunities and benefits.
• Assist in transporting clients to shelters and resources.
