Job summary

Lighthouse Behavioral Wellness Centers Ardmore, OK seeks a Recovery Support Specialist to empower individuals in crisis related to mental illness, trauma and addiction. You will work on the 9-8-8 response team, delivering recovery services in crisis settings and helping stabilize communities.

Under supervision, you will monitor needs, coordinate care with providers, document services thoroughly, and participate in planning and huddles. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum one year participation in local or national consumer advocacy or knowledge in mental health and substance use recovery.
• Current certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist as described in ODMHSAS standards.
• Core competencies related to co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care and collaborative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery supportive services in home and community settings to promote crisis stabilization and recovery.
• Monitor consumer needs and assist in coordinating care with internal and external providers.
• Complete all agency documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Serve as a role model for recovery and assist consumers in identifying engagement barriers.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required; travel may be required.
• Participate in huddles, care planning and staff meetings; meet appraisal expectations.
• Perform Lighthouse required training and follow-up as directed by supervisor.
