Job summary

Newmark School is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional - Debriefing Intervention to join our in-person team Monday through Friday. You will respond to student crises, de-escalate, and collaborate with counselors to support individualized behavior plans.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Social Work, crisis-management training, and experience in education settings. We offer a competitive salary, health benefits, retirement plan, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Certification in safe restraint techniques (Handle with Care & CDT Personal Protection Training) is required.
• Experience in schools or related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend crisis management training including de-escalation and safe restraint guidelines.
• Respond to crisis situations to de-escalate and ensure safety; complete incident reports.
• Develop, document, and implement individualized behavior management plans with counseling team.
• Provide in-the-moment counseling and behavioral support to students in crisis.
