Job summary

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) seeks skilled Psychiatrists PRN to provide comprehensive psychiatric care in our Crisis Stabilization Unit. In this daytime in-person role, you will conduct medication evaluations, manage medications, and deliver psychiatric assessments as part of a collaborative prescriber team.

The ideal candidate holds an MD or DO with Colorado licensure, has DEA, and prefers DEA-X; three years of relevant clinical experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with accredited psychiatry residency.
• Colorado Medical License or valid Prescriptive Authority in good standing.
• DEA registration valid; DEA-X preferred.
• Preferred: three years of relevant clinical work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical and psychiatric services including evaluations and treatment planning.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary staff for patient triage and care.
• Share 24-hour on-call duties with other psychiatrists as assigned.
• Maintain on-site presence for face-to-face evaluations and team meetings.
• Document patient care accurately and timely; comply with quality standards.
