Qualifications

• PMHNP board certification (ANCC) and current licensure as an APRN in Illinois.
• DNP or MSN from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Prescriptive Authority and DEA license.
• RN license in Maryland is listed as a credential in the posting.
• CPR certification is required.
• Experience working with patients in crisis is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial psychiatric evaluations to determine diagnosis and care plan.
• Prescribe and adjust medications as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Monitor patient progress and collaborate with the treatment team.
• Document clinical encounters in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families about condition and care options.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality of care.
• Maintain continuing education and professional development.
• Establish professional relationships with patients, families, and staff.
