Job summary

CN Guidance & Counseling Services, Inc. seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric assessments and medication management for children and adults in a 24/7 Crisis Stabilization Center. Requires a Master's in psychiatric NP, NYS RN/NP licenses, DEA, and MAT certification.

Candidate should have substantial clinical experience with a wide range of mental disorders and be able to collaborate with the care team to ensure integrated services and timely reporting to agencies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in advanced nursing practice in psychiatry
• New York State license and registration as an RN and NP in Psychiatry
• Current DEA registration and MAT certification (Suboxone)

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric and substance abuse care and medication management.
• Perform psychiatric and substance abuse examinations for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Monitor pharmacological effects of psychotropic medications and report outcomes to the team.
• Collaborate with treatment team and community professionals to integrate care.
• Maintain timely clinical records including treatment plans and progress notes.
