Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare crisis response is favored.
  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) certification per policy.
  • Valid AZ Driver’s License in good standing; clear 39‑month MVR.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to crisis calls dispatched to City of Mesa Police Department.
  • Triage crisis situations and recommend appropriate interventions.

Job Summary

The Crisis Mobile Specialist is responsible for responding to crisis calls dispatched by Solari to the City of Mesa Police Department. The intent of this service is to quickly triage a crisis situation, recommend an appropriate intervention, and assist in transitioning the person in crisis to the most appropriate level of care, when applicable. Each area below is defined by the specific function as it relates to the policy, process, and the governing rules set forth by the Department of Behavioral Health Services (DBHS), Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), Office of Behavioral Health Licensure (OBHL), and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Skills/Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required. Associates Degree is preferred.
  • Health Care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations preferred.
  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in accordance with A.A.C. R9-10-101.33 and CBI Clinical Policies and Procedures.
  • Current AZ Driver’s License (valid and in good standing).
  • Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record.
