Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services is seeking a Mental Health Worker (MHW) to provide direct services to adults in crisis at the CCS. The role includes admissions, treatment planning, group leadership, case management, and discharge, with 1:1 supervision as needed and responsibilities for unit operations such as meal setup, laundry, and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a mental health setting.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced unit with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to lead and collaborate in crisis situations.
• Ability to work independently and proactively improve procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete admissions, treatment plans, daily documentation, and discharge summaries.
• Lead, co-lead, and observe therapeutic groups and activities.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and meal prep responsibilities.
• Engage with insurers and community resources to coordinate care.
• Participate in rounds and follow up on issues for clients and unit safety.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials.
