Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college in social work, psychology or other human service related field is required.
• Must have or be able to obtain certification from the Department of Human Services as a Certified Mental Health Investigator, and other related certifications such as alcohol and drug counselor or gambling addiction counselor.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to assimilate data from observations and histories.
• Establish short-term goals with clients and provide follow-up services.
• Provide home visits and outreach services to schools and agencies.
• Thoroughly screen referrals to assure proper utilization of outpatient services.
• Complete clinical records and collateral forms accurately and timely.
• Provide crisis intervention and act as liaison between clients and agencies.
