Job summary

Endeavors is seeking a Clinician to provide trauma‑informed, culturally competent mental health support for residents in disaster shelters. You will deliver psychological first aid, crisis counseling, and brief therapies to evacuees, assess distress, and coordinate with shelter teams to ensure appropriate levels of care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work with clinical experience or a related behavioral science program.
• Licensed or eligible clinician in Florida (LPC/LMHC/LMFT/LCSW/LPC-I/LMFT-A/LMSW).
• Proficiency in Spanish and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological first aid, crisis counseling, and brief therapeutic interventions to evacuees.
• Assess signs of emotional distress, anxiety, trauma, or severe mental illness.
• De-escalate tense situations in coordination with shelter staff and security.
• Conduct intake interviews and initial assessments.
• Maintain confidential case notes and logs per HIPAA and shelter protocols.
• Coordinate with shelter management, disaster medical staff, case management, and security teams.
• Provide stress management support to shelter staff and volunteers as needed.
• Offer individual and family counseling as required.

Education
