HCA Healthcare is hiring a Crisis Interventionist Nurse (RN) for PRN coverage at Medical City Dallas & Plano. The role coordinates ER/physician assessments for psychiatric and substance use cases, performs crisis evaluations, and acts as a liaison between physicians, patients and families.
This position requires RN licensure, BCLS and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 30 days of employment. You will support crisis care across age groups and adhere to hospital policies and the Code of Conduct.

THIS ROLE SITS AT MEDICAL CITY DALLAS & MEDICAL CITY PLANO
Coordinates all assessments ordered by ER physicians or attending physicians concerning psychiatric or substance abuse problems. Performs age-specific mental health assessments on potential clients and refers to appropriate areas.
Provides crisis assessments in med/surg hospitals
Participates in the assessment process
Coordinates, implements and completes transfer or referral process
Serves as a liaison between physicians, patients/family and the hospital
Accurately maintains files, logs and reports as requested or required
Provides crisis intervention for all age groups
Adheres to hospital policies and procedures
Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct
Conduct reflects the Company’s values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct
Performs other duties as requested or required
