Job summary

Cascade Community Healthcare is hiring for crisis intervention and case management roles in Lewis County, WA. You will provide on-site and phone support to individuals and families experiencing acute distress, coordinating with the crisis team and community resources.

The position requires driving, clear communication, and documentation in our computer systems. Competitive pay scales reflect education level and experience, with comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of one year of education or one year experience in mental health or related field.
• Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, including during inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Face to face and phone crisis intervention, stabilization and resolution services for individuals or families in crisis.
• Provide services to individuals with acute symptoms of mental illness presenting risk of harm to self or others and refer appropriately.
• Maintain knowledge of Lewis County community resources to refer to resolving crisis.
• Communicate follow up actions needed with on-coming crisis team.
• Provide follow-up contact to individuals, families and agencies involved in crisis stabilization and resolution responses.
• Assist in facilitation of voluntary hospitalization and coordinate with DCR for involuntary placement as a collateral provider.
• Provide consultation, education and liaison with law enforcement, schools, health personnel and other agencies.

Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County.

Swing Shift: Saturday - Tuesday, 12:00pm - 10:00pm

PAY SCALE:

Non-degreed: $20.50 - $24.99

AA Degree: $22.04 - $26.87

Bachelors Degree: $24.09 - $29.37

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE:

• Must have a minimum of one year of education or one year experience in mental health or related field.
• Washington State Department of Health Credential required (Registered-AAC or Certified AAC).
• Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check. A national background check may be required if have not lived in WA State consecutively the last three years.
• Must be able to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.
• Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
• Must be able to enter information into computer network system.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, including during inclement weather.
• Must maintain current home telephone and address on file with the human resources office.
• Must be able to gain access to all types of buildings and residences regardless of the structures handicapped accessibility or lack thereof.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Responsible for face to face and phone crisis intervention, stabilization and resolution services for individuals or families experiencing acute emotional distress or loss of behavioral control, at the individual’s location at home or in the community.
• Responsible for providing services to individuals experiencing acute symptoms of mental illness which present risk of harm to self or others for the purpose of appropriate referral to the DCR.
• Maintain knowledge of Lewis County community resources in order to refer individuals and/or families to resources that may resolve crisis.
• Communicate follow up actions needed with on-coming crisis team.
• Provide follow-up contact to individuals, families and agencies involved in crisis stabilization and resolution responses.
• Assist in facilitation of voluntary hospitalization for clinically appropriate individuals and coordinate with DCR to carry out involuntary placement as a collateral provider.
• Provides consultation, education and liaison with law enforcement, school, health personnel and other appropriate collateral agencies and groups.
• Maintain knowledge of Lewis County community resources in order to refer individuals and/or families to resources that may resolve crisis.
