Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments in a timely, thorough, and clinically sound manner.
  • Educate individuals on treatment consents and authorizations.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans with the team.
  • Coordinate care and referrals with facility and external providers.
  • Identify gaps and recommend discharge-ready plans.
  • Engage and monitor safety while meeting patient needs.

About Cascade

Cascade is a nonprofit community health center that has served Lewis County and the surrounding communities for 60 years. With five locations throughout Lewis County, Washington, we provide a wide range of services designed to meet the needs of our clients and community.

The Cascade Evaluation and Treatment Center provides intensive mental health and psychiatric services for adults 18 and older. This facility has 16 beds on the Evaluation and Treatment Unit, 6 beds on the Crisis Stabilization Unit, and 18 chairs in the Crisis Relief Center.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Mental Health Professional to join our Crisis Relief Team. This position facilitates admission intakes, treatment planning, discharge planning, obtaining collateral, individual therapy, clinical interventions, crisis management, family therapy, support system development, and initiates personalized care for individuals who are in crisis and stabilizing from crisis. Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care and discharge planning for individuals, their family members, clinics, local providers, and/or other referral sources.

  • Location: 3510 Steelhammer Ln. Centralia, WA 98531
  • Shift Available:
    • Thursday - Saturday, 10:00am - 10:30pm (2 positions)
    • Thursday - Saturday, 10:00pm - 10:30am
    • Sunday - Wednesday, 10:00pm - 10:30am
Pay Ranges

Licensed: $38.31 - $46.70, Depending on qualified experience

Associate Licensure: $36.16 - $44.08, Depending on qualified experience

What You’ll Bring
  • Master’s degree in counseling or the social sciences required.
  • Current WA State Department of Health License or Associate Licensure (LMHC/A, LMFT/A, LICSW/A)
  • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check. A national background check may be required if have not lived in WA state consecutively the last three years.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must comply with agency policies and procedures
  • Must be able to pass Violence Prevention Training.
What You’ll Do
  • Conduct a thorough, accurate, clinically sound psychosocial assessment with the individual in a timely manner.
  • Educate and inform individuals of consents for treatment and authorizations for use and disclosures.
  • Participate regularly in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement an individualized person-centered treatment plan that is appropriate for brief intervention. Complete the signed treatment plan and review with each individual and any other involved parties.
  • Gather collateral from the individual and involved parties to provide a thorough assessment of what an individuals' needs are for treatment and discharge.
  • Actively coordinate care and provide referrals for individuals to ensure services are coordinated with both facility staff and external providers.
  • Identify and address gaps in service needs for participating parties in service delivery to the individual and make appropriate recommendations to meet the individuals’ needs upon discharge.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team to engage, monitor and communicate with the individual, ensuring that safety is maintained while meeting the individuals' needs.
  • Conduct brief intervention, individual, and family counseling within scope of practice.
  • Participate in redirecting individual behavior while maintaining a safe milieu when necessary.
  • Obtain signatures from individuals regarding treatment, as necessary
  • Ensure documentation complies with best clinical practices, contracts, regulatory, and other legal requirements.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Washington State behavioral health system and potential funding sources.
  • Participates in individual and group supervision as required. Participate in ongoing education, including in-services, training, and other activities to maintain and improve competency.
  • Demonstrate competency through post-testing, skill observation, and performance as assessed by direct supervisor.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

  • Retirement benefits: After six months of employment, Cascade contributes 5% of your gross earnings to a 401(k) each month-no employee contribution or match is required.
  • Support toward licensure: Team Managers may provide required supervision hours at no cost to employees working toward licensure.
  • License and certification reimbursement: Cascade reimburses the cost of required Department of Health license renewals and other job-related certifications, such as DEA registration and CPR/BLS certification.
