Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex BOCES seeks personnel to supervise and integrate students, with emphasis on crisis prevention and behavior support. Responsibilities include escorting students, monitoring transitions, and assisting staff during school activities.

Under the general supervision of the designated Principal or Supervisor, the incumbent organizes escort responsibilities and maintains discipline and control over students within the school. This position differs from other positions dealing with children in school districts in that it calls for intensive involvement with students who are involved in educational programs for troubled students. Does related work as required.

Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher in Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Education, Counseling, Sociology, or a closely related field; OR
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and two (2) years full-time paid experience working with children or adolescents in a behavioral intervention, educational, social services, mental health, developmental disabilities, residential care, or related human services setting.
