Job summary

Community Mental Health for Central Michigan is seeking a qualified CMIT clinician to provide crisis intervention and stabilization services in Reed City, MI. The role covers 24/7 crisis needs and collaborates with the Access system to route care.

Responsibilities include on-site evaluations, brief assessments, and transition planning to aftercare while maintaining documentation and participating in supervision. The position requires a Master’s in Social Work/Counseling and Michigan licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Clinical/Counseling Psychology is required.
• Michigan state licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, or LP) is required.
• Experience: 1 year with children if Master's degree; 3 years with children if Bachelor's degree; crisis intervention experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate requests for crisis services and perform on-site evaluations.
• Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and short-term case management.
• Coordinate with Access and other emergency services during high demand.
• Screen inmates for jail diversion and refer to appropriate services.
• Educate families about petitioning processes and support transition to aftercare.
• Maintain records and participate in supervision and development.
