Job summary

Hudson Regional Health is seeking a qualified mental health professional to provide crisis counseling, screening, and referrals in collaboration with on-call psychiatrists. The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, knowledge of DSM-5, and strong English communication skills.

Education includes a Bachelor's degree with a Master’s preferred. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating weekend and opportunities for growth within a high-tech, patient-first care environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree preferred.
• 2–4 years related experience; knowledge of DSM-5 diagnosis and psychotropic medications.
• Clear English communication, both oral and written; knowledge of Crisis Intervention & Prevention.
• Ability to organize, prioritize & manage multiple projects and follow through to ensure tasks are complete.

What You’ll Be Doing

Plans and provides mental health screening assessments, crisis supportive interventions, dispositions and referrals, in consultation with the on-call psychiatrist and or with the coordinator for patients in crisis. Conduct crisis counseling for patients in crisis situations / bereavement, conduct comprehensive clinical assessment, and assess for suicide and homicide risk in the Emergency Department

What We’re Looking For

Education: Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred

Experience: 2 –4 years Related Experience, knowledge of Diagnosis Statistical Manual Of Mental Disorder -Version V (DSM-5) diagnosis and psychotropic medications

Skills: Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of Crisis Intervention & Prevention. Ability to organize, prioritize & manage multiple projects and follow through to ensure tasks are complete

Monday-Friday / Rotating weekend (7:30am-4:0pm)
