Job summary

Mental Health Cooperative, Inc. (MHC) in Nashville, TN seeks a Co-Response Crisis Counselor for REACH to provide face-to-face crisis intervention and care coordination during mental health emergencies, collaborating with Metro Nashville Fire Department.

This on-call role requires responding to calls on evenings and weekends and coordinating services across community resources. Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work, with strong crisis intervention

• Ability to evaluate risk factors and provide crisis interventions.
• Strong communication with clients, families, and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct crisis assessments and interventions for psychiatric emergencies.
• Provide mental health support and care coordination with Fire Department.
• Coordinate referrals to EPS Treatment Services and other resources.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation per policies.
• Collaborate with REACH, CIT Co-response, and Mobile Crisis teams as needed.
