Responsibilities

• Provide field response on calls with behavioral health components.

• Consult with law enforcement on recommended actions and document entries in the Behavioral Health database.
• Build relationships with citizens, officers, civilian staff, and community groups; promote positive relations.
• Continue training in behavioral health and serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the department.
• Support a multidisciplinary approach to challenging cases and develop alternative solutions.
• Maintain current knowledge of available resources for referrals.
• Represent the department at events and meetings to promote community/police relations.

SALARY$70,993.50 - $88,741.88JOB SUMMARYUnder general supervision, the Crisis Intervention Specialist will provide citizens experiencing a behavioral health crisis with on-site tools to navigate challenges and improve their quality of life.
