Job summary

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Mental Health Technician to support patients with emotional and/or psychological disorders. You will provide direct care, monitor safety, document behaviors, and collaborate with the treatment team to implement plans and crisis interventions as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year related experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CPI Certified.
• Must be able to complete (5) day Hospital Orientation.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to work, meals, recreation and education activities.
• Transport patients to medical appointments or activities and maintain safety and security.
• De-escalate aggression using counseling skills and active listening, support treatment goals.
• Monitor clothing, linens and personal hygiene supplies and supervise tasks.
