Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a skilled mental health clinician to provide crisis evaluations in psychiatric services on and off site for all ages. You will use DSM-5 terminology to assess diagnoses and plan treatment, coordinating with inpatient, outpatient, and community resources.

The role requires a Master's in Human Services, license-eligibility (LICSW/LISW/LMHC), and strong psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Human Services or equivalent.
• Must be license eligible (LICSW, LISW, or LMHC) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychosocial history and mental status assessments.
• Assigns clinical level of care (inpatient/outpatient) and referrals.
• Develops and maintains a safe therapeutic environment.
• Triage crisis calls and coordinate treatment planning.
• Functions in a Case Management role coordinating social services and discharge planning.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and documentation for billing.
