Job summary

Elwyn is seeking an Intake Specialist to manage day-to-day crisis operations, triage initial crisis calls, and dispatch mobile crisis teams on first shift. The role includes admissions, data collection, and maintaining external stakeholder relationships to ensure timely access to services.

You will collaborate with the team to promote person-centered planning, maintain required training, and support referrals to appropriate levels of care while upholding Elwyn's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human service field required or similar.
• 3 years of mental health experience provided to adults, children, and/or adolescents.
• Non-profit human service experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• CPR and crisis intervention training/certification per agency protocols.
• Excellent customer interaction, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer crisis line calls, triage information, and dispatch mobile crisis teams.
• Collect demographic information for data accuracy and monitoring.
• Conduct initial consumer assessments for admissions and referrals.
• Track referrals and coordinate with Business Development on information sharing.
• Assist in securing intake appointments and coordinating follow-up services.
• Advocate with external agencies for individuals served.
