Job summary

Domestic Violence Crisis Center, Inc. in Stamford, CT is seeking an Intake and Crisis Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for victims, handling crisis calls and walk-ins with compassion and urgency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in human services or related field, strong interpersonal and bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities, and proficiency in ETO data entry to document services and referrals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field required or equivalent combination of training/experience.
• Ability to work with diverse clients and effectively communicate in English and Spanish preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for independent and team work.
• Maintain complete and timely service records in ETO.
• Navigate omni-channel communication with clients across departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, information and referrals to victims.
• Conduct intake, informed consent, demographics collection and service referrals.
• Coordinate shelter admission assessments with residential staff.
• Refer clients to internal and external services and ensure smooth service transitions.
• Maintain agency metrics and documentation procedures.
