Job summary

Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network is seeking a part-time PAR Dispatch Coordinator to support crisis services. Under general supervision of the Director of Crisis Services, you will coordinate between hospital social workers and PAR screeners, answer incoming calls, and ensure RFS entries and member data are accurately recorded in MHWIN and the EHR.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years of full-time paid professional experience in human/mental health or behavioral health.
• Two years of full-time paid professional experience in customer service, dispatch, emergency/crisis response or related.
• Knowledge of call screening techniques and crisis procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming telephone calls.
• Provides coordination between hospital social workers and PAR screeners.
• Completes Requests for Service (RFS) to determine inpatient level of care.
• Enters RFS from referring hospitals and relays information to PAR Screeners.
• Enters client information into EHR (MHWIN) and related systems.
• Uses MHWIN dispatch system to deploy PAR Screeners.
• Completes data entry for enrollments.
• Generates member IDs for new individuals entering the DWIHN system.
• Verifies Medicaid in CHAMPS.
• Performs initial triage to assess immediate needs.
• Attends agency and system staff meetings.
