Job summary

CAYA Collaborative Care is hiring a Mental Health Technician for our crisis centers in Kentucky. You will directly care for clients, supervise safety, and maintain a therapeutic milieu.

The role includes crisis de-escalation, documentation in the EMR, and collaboration with staff and community partners. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Kentucky driver’s license, proof of insurance, and passing a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid KY driver's license.
• Proof of insurance.
• Acceptable yearly background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents to ensure safety and security at all times.
• Implement milieu management systems and document daily activities.
• Take phone referrals, conduct admission screens and complete admission materials.
• Conduct group discussions/activities and recreational activities as appropriate.
• Assist residents in utilizing coping skills.
• Prepare meals for residents as needed and maintain cleanliness.
• Supervise medication administration as needed.
• Conduct Urine Drug Screens and complete lab requests as needed.
• Document all client activities in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Use training curriculum to de-escalate clients as appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with crisis center staff and community partners.
• Orient clients to the crisis center and secure belongings as needed.
