Job summary

UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor is seeking a compassionate Crisis Technician I for our Crisis Residential Unit (CRU) in Erie, PA. This casual role requires weekend shifts, potential holidays, and night coverage, with on-call flexibility.

A high school diploma is required and comprehensive training is provided upon hire. The CRU is an 8-bed facility offering medication management, group and individual therapies, and referrals for ongoing care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; comprehensive training provided on hire.
• No prior behavioral health or crisis experience is required.
• Casual role with weekend and on-call shifts; flexibility essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and medication management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary activities with staff, clinicians, and physicians to develop treatment plans.
• Act as a member of the recovery team, delivering direct patient and family care per CSSP principles.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safety in the therapeutic environment.
