Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Washington State seeks a Certified Peer Counselor for the Crisis Care Center. You will provide emotional support, education, and resource services to clients in crisis and support discharge planning and navigation of services.

The role requires prior behavioral health experience, certification as a Peer Counselor in WA, and completion of required crisis training within 6 months, with a schedule that includes 4x10s shifts and a commitment to equity and housing

Qualifications

• One year paid or volunteer experience in behavioral health.
• Graduation from the Washington Institute Peer Advocacy Training Program or Rainbow Center Peer Advocacy Training Program or equivalent.
• Must complete the HCA 40-hour Crisis Training within first 6 months of employment.
• Must be a Certified Peer Counselor in the State of Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Crisis Center staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services.
• Deliver comprehensive case management to help clients access housing, employment, income, medical and behavioral health care.
• Utilize recovery-oriented approaches and lived experience to support engagement and independence.
• Provide direct client support through individual and group services, including psychoeducation and skill-building.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, participate in clinical consultations, and support administrative functions.
