Position Summary

This is an opportunity to manage the Mobile Crisis Response Services program. The Crisis Care program will respond to youth and adult mental health crises using a team-based approach.

Description

Manager of Crisis Care

This position involves managing the Crisis Care Program, including clinical, administrative, and budget oversight. The Manager is responsible for the program's success and compliance with all State and Medicaid requirements. As part of the Leadership Team, the Manager will assist in developing budgets, organizational policies, and other initiatives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and evaluate the Mobile Crisis Response Team and Supervisor.
  • Implement best practices and Evidence-Based Practices for suicide prevention and crisis services.
  • Participate in strategic planning and collaborate on departmental needs related to suicide prevention.
  • Coordinate after-hours crisis services and consultations.
  • Collaborate with hospitals, police, fire 911, and crisis call hubs.
  • Serve as liaison to the Illinois Department of Human Services crisis care learning community.
  • Oversee record-keeping and reporting to ensure compliance and program metrics.
  • Monitor clinical needs of clients and develop innovative approaches.
  • Follow all other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to make presentations and conduct training.
  • Understanding of suicide prevention theories and practices (preferably).
  • Interpersonal skills to work with staff, leadership, and community organizations.
  • Experience with suicide prevention EBPs (preferably).

Education and Experience

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Current IL license (LCSW or LCPC).
  • Experience in Crisis Intervention, preferably Mobile Crisis Response.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with professionals across disciplines.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.

Additional Notes

All employees must align with the CARE principles and complete related training. TCI training and refresher courses are mandatory, with assessments every 6 and 12 months.
