Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina is seeking a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Crisis to ensure access to counseling, psychoeducation, and crisis interventions. You will lead case management and coordinate care for adults with mental health or substance use disorders.

The role requires CADC certification, valid US driver’s license, and willingness to travel. You will provide crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and linkage to recovery services while maintaining accurate notes and

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor in good standing with State Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the initial development, implementation, and ongoing revision of the plan, including ongoing assessment and reassessment of the individual.
• Monitor and document the status of the person’s progress and the effectiveness of the strategies and interventions.
• Communicate the individual’s progress to the LCAS or LCAS-A as outlined in the plan.
• Provide crisis interventions when clinically necessary and provide psychoeducation as indicated.
• Linkage to and coordination with services and supports, including relapse prevention and disease management strategies.
• Engage with family members or identified individuals in the withdrawal management process with consent.
