Job summary

AdventHealth Denver seeks a licensed behavioral health professional to serve as primary liaison between clients, families and care teams. You will assess risk, coordinate referrals, and provide therapeutic and educational services in emergency and medical units.

Requirements include a Master's degree and licensure (LMFT, Psych, LCSW, LPC, CNS) with 3+ years in direct behavioral clinical work. Night shift; full-time in Denver, CO, 80210.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• License in relevant field required (LMFT/PSYCH/LCSW/LPC/CNS).
• 3+ years in direct behavioral clinical work at a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison between clients, family members, managed care reps and behavioral health personnel.
• Ensure continuity of patient care after assessment by assisting in referrals.
• Provide therapeutic and educational services to patients, family, staff and community.
• Assess suicide, violence, and elopement risk appropriately.
• Support milieu management in emergency departments and medical units.
• Respond to dangerous situations with de-escalation and low-level interventions.
• Contribute to higher-level interventions and timely assessment/referral services with DSM-based planning.

Job Description:

• Serves as primary communication liaison between clients, family members, managed care representatives, and behavioral healthcare personnel.
• Assures the continuity of patient care upon completion of the assessment by assisting in the implementation of the referral recommendation.
• Provides therapeutic and educational services to patients, family, staff, and community.
• Appropriately assesses suicide, violence, and elopement potential.
• Facilitates appropriate milieu management within the emergency departments and medical units.
• Responds to potentially dangerous situations with low-level interventions to avoid harm to patients and staff.
