Nueces County in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a detailed-oriented clerk to handle criminal information checks and data maintenance across TCIC/NCIC, RMS, and local databases. Responsibilities include entering data, confirming warrants, and providing timely information to law enforcement agencies.

The role requires ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, and to pass background, drug screening, and medical examinations.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED plus at least one year of responsible clerical experience.
• Must type 25 wpm.
• Experience in law enforcement telecommunications desirable.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training may be substituted for current Nueces County employees only.

Responsabilidades

• Perform criminal history checks on individuals using TCIC/NCIC and RMS.
• Enter data into TCIC/NCIC for warrants in Nueces County; follow system guidelines.
• Provide 24-hour confirmation on warrants and inquiries from law enforcement agencies.
• Clear, modify, and update warrants in TCIC, NCIC, and RMS systems.
• Send and receive teletype messages with other agencies (inquiries about inmates and transport).
• May assist in training new clerks and handle after-hours public calls.
