Qualifications

  • Leadership skills to help develop a regional practice and mentor attorneys.
  • Strong legal judgment and clear written/oral advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of complex criminal matters from intake through resolution.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, trials, and other court proceedings.
  • Develop case strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients.
  • Independently manage deadlines, filings, discovery, and all aspects of case preparation.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the regional Criminal law practice.
  • Collaborate with centralized support to ensure efficient case management and client service.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and client communication.
  • Help establish and develop the firm’s presence in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill market.

Alber Firm P.C. is expanding its national footprint into North Carolina, with a particular focus on the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel-Hill area. We are seeking an experienced Criminal law attorney to serve as our State/Regional Managing Partner. This is an opportunity to help lead our North Carolina law practice while continuing to focus on practicing law. Alber Firm P.C. provides the centralized operational infrastructure, technology, and workflow support so you can focus on legal work, client representation, and regional leadership.

About the Role

This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced Criminal law attorney who wants to take an active role in shaping and overseeing a regional practice. The role combines hands-on legal practice with regional leadership, including managing complex matters, mentoring attorneys, and helping establish the firm’s presence in the market. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, making strategic decisions, and taking ownership of the practice’s day-to-day legal operations.
