Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Justice is hiring a Criminal Justice Training Coordinator I (NS) for the North Carolina Justice Academy in Salemburg, NC. The role develops, revises, and maintains law enforcement training curricula and materials, with potential instructional duties and cross-training across disciplines.

Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering basic to advanced courses using the ISD model, creating e-learning content, providing technical assistance, and reviewing

Qualifications

• Master's degree in criminology, criminal justice, one of the social sciences, or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in criminology, criminal justice, one of the social sciences, or a related field with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Certification as General Instructor by NCCJETSC.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain law enforcement curricula and training materials.
• Deliver instructional duties or teaching assignments as needed.
• Coordinate and instruct basic, advanced, and specialized training using an ISD model.
• Create traditional and e-learning courses; provide technical assistance on content areas.
• Review, proofread, and edit lesson plans; cross-train in multiple disciplines.
• Travel as required; background check conducted.
