Job summary

College of Southern Nevada seeks a qualified instructor in Criminal Justice to teach in person at multiple campus locations in Las Vegas. The position involves developing course syllabi, delivering instruction, and assessing student outcomes across programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Criminal Justice or related field, has at least 5 years of practitioner experience, and may have prior college teaching, curriculum development, and assessment experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Administration of Justice from an accredited college/university.
• Criminal justice practitioner experience in the last ten years (min. 5 years).
• Preferred: 2+ years teaching at college level in criminal justice; curriculum/assessment development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop course syllabi and materials.
• Evaluate mastery of student, program, and institutional learning outcomes.
• Maintain office hours for student advisement and recruitment activities.
• Participate in departmental and program meetings and activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Chair.
